Fun: 5. 0 out of 5 stars Having been very disappointed by the previous installment in general HER Nancy Drew's fun series, I confess, I was a little worried about this person. Fortunately, however, I really liked this game solid.
Set at a boarding school for girls, warnings Waverly Academy offers a well thought plot centered around a mysterious series of threatening notes. As the story develops, he weaves the fictional story of both the school and the real history of a figure of American literature in a scenario much more complex than you think to the original idea. There is a particularly clever twist that comes just when you think you have all understood, and while you probably have pegged the villain – or a girl because the male voice of Ned only one – by end, this is not a "well, duh" kind of solution.
Almost all of the tasks of Nancy are perfectly integrated into the screenplay, making even ordinary chores a little tedious as the kitchen feel important to the advancement of the game. I found the game immensely easier than some others more recent – I'm looking at you, ransom of seven ships – and although some of the puzzles were head-scratchers, none has been so confusing for me to advice online. There is also a nice variety of tasks: some visual, some logical, some skills.
Characters archetypes of the school are distinct and interesting, with what appear to be real personalities and motivations – which is good because there are quite a number of them, another welcome change from the last match. The addition of SMS is the story feel very real and contemporary. Although the scenery was quite limited exploration available shortly, the graphics are well rendered and the music very enjoyable.
So what are the drawbacks? The game world is not as deep as it could have been, with few local additions as the story progresses, however, the game is perhaps not as some others, although it is certainly not the shorter, either. Suspense, even a feeling of apprehension that is not much. Nancy dangers associated disadvantages rather than real danger most of the time. And the nature of the script seems to dictate the public for this game to a degree: girls and young women will no doubt appreciate the characters and aspects of school life much more than would some older players. For some, however, the puzzles are probably too easy. These caveats aside, I recommend this game wholeheartedly for the ND player more interested in plot than in the mysteries and secrets in the secret passages.

Fun: 4. 0 out of 5 stars As a player again, I was very annoyed the first half of the game because there simply was not much suspsense or intrigue. You want to be drawn into small headache inducing and must play games to advance. Granted, if your coordination is not that good, you will pass through the arcade version of the game by default.
This game seems to be trying to capitalize on the market created by "Gossip Girl" drawing on themes simillar. You examine the essential tactics of intimidation of a person by the name "Black Cat", which seems to be trying to drive his competititon to madness, so it will valeldictorian. (In the end, you'll discover the real reason for sending notes Black Cat.) Like Gossip Girl, The Gossip students cheat, steal each others boyfriends, and engage in acts of sabotage . Students are also subject to a hierarchy of school with a "Mean Girl" on top.
Even if the girls pointed their fingers at each other, I was able to guess the culprit early on.
If you are in primary school age, you may be able to relate most closely to this part. Like "Gossip Girl", these privileged girls who attend a private school, engage in power plays against each other through a subterfuge, blackmail, clans, threats, intimidation and deception.
Like "Blackmoor Manor", this game also incorporates the Illuminati rituals. You get to attend one of the girls, who happens to be a goth "(ie, celebrates the culture of death) participate in an Illuminati ritual in a dark dress. (Think about Bohemian Grove.)
The game is enjoyable and guide the player through many interesting twists. I really feel like I learned about girls. The graphics are exquisite. He is also tied with the classic games. However, there are limited places to explore. Since Nancy got a card that allowed him to enter in each room, he would have been nice if she could explore these rooms where the student was absent. There was also the doors of rooms that could not be opened, and Bess is on speed dial, although we could not call.
It is also fun to demerits. You can vandalize school property, then pull the fire alarm, sneaking out of windows in the middle of the night, talking in the corridor past curfew, burst into the room and make a number of things to get demerits and finally expelled.
Good game. I recommend the play

Fun: 5. 0 out of 5 stars Nancy Drew 21: warning at Waverly Academy
-Before you begin. . .
My review will be made in several sections and have an in-depth look at this. If you do not like reading medium / long comment or simply did not have the patience I would not continue to read, but if you want to learn more about the product before buying it, you'll continue.
-Interface
The interface is exactly like a ransom of seven ships and other more recent games. Just point the direction you want to go, click on the essentials. There is a new icon that is so special about this game is the Phone icon. The phone icon allows you to go on Nancy's phone to make calls, take pictures, receive text messages, change the time in the game and change settings (background and your message). I really liked the functionality of mobile phone game because he was absent from the Games for a while (last seen in Legend of the Crystal Skull and it only lets you call people). It'sa lot of fun to take pictures and change the background of the phone too.

-Plot
The intrigue surrounding the "Black Cat", a person who is sending threatening notes to candidates Valedictorian and even push them to leave the school through a "bizarre accident". The latest victims were sent to hospital because of an allergic reaction or locked in a closet in the middle of the night. I loved the plot because he was a little scary and it is still linked to a history of Waverly Academy and a real-life famous poet. I found the plot fairly simple but very intriguing because there are a couple of twists that add even more punch. I liked that there was basically one mission: find out who are the "Black Cat" is! I just loved the plot a lot!

Characters
If you've played a ransom of seven ships, you may have been extremely disappointed by the number of characters / suspects there were. Well, if you were disappointed then you will not with this game! There are five characters in this game, each with very different personalities. There is a goth girl, a straight-A outcast / nerd, a shy young girl, an athlete determined girl and the girl Gossip vain. You will certainly enjoy all met them and hear what they have to say about each other. I wish there were so many characters! There were also some minor letters that you do not "see" who were too cool. Warnings A Waverly Academy basically makes up for any lack of people for ransom of seven ships. There was a lot of interaction with the characters too, so it was not just like having a conversation in the beginning of the game and then not having anything to say to them all. I really liked the characters and it was certainly a notch above the interaction between the characters from previous games like Haunting of Castle Malloy or Legend of the Crystal Skull.

-Setting & Graphics
The graphics never seem to be a problem with Nancy Drew games. And this game is no exception, as the graphics are absolutely beautiful. I liked that the dorm was in an old manor-style seating. There are many places to go in the game. There is a library, game room, and a lot of dorm rooms to explore. Also there are places in the open air as the big oak and cellar. One thing I did not like is that the decoration was confined to one building and rare outdoor settings. I understand the game would need more memory for more buildings, but I would have liked to go maybe a couple of additional classes (there is one in Ramsey Hall). Also the dorms were really cool, but not very many "blind" per se. I liked to do a 360 pot in each dorm rooms. Otherwise I really liked how they designed Ramsey Hall and it is really pretty on the outside when it snows in the game (yes does it snow in the game!). You will not necessarily feel confined, but I wanted the game had at least one other building.

-Puzzles/Activities
Ransom, seven boats is definitely a game for those who love puzzles, this game is more centered around the plot. The puzzles in this game was rather moderate, none were as difficult as ransom of seven ships. There was plenty of variety but I liked it. You also learned to do some fun stuff too, like playing air hockey, darts, and run the snack background. Speaking of skiing, you can also get a lot of demerit points. You can get to be caught after curfew, pull the fire alarm, sneaking into the bedrooms of people climbing trees and etc. It's really fun to demerits, but if you're 15 or over you get expelled. Another thing I liked was the use of mobile phones, Nancy. A couple of activities required, you go around and take pictures of things / people for the school site and you also get text messages on gossip. I found myself constantly wanting to run the snack, because while you work, some girls start chatting and conversations are pretty funny. Overall, you will enjoy completing the puzzles and activities in the game, even if they are not particularly difficult.

-Ending
A disappointment of this game was the end! I really did not want the game to end because I had so much fun! The problem with the end, it came kind of unexpectedly. The puzzles themselves were pretty exciting ending but that was great. Wrap-up/motive was also really interesting and made sense. Although I did not want the end came unexpectedly / suddenly, I did enjoy it and found the resolution to tie the game up nicely.

-Overall
I know that many people were disappointed by Ransom, seven boats, but this kind of game balances out Ransom. Warnings A Waverly Academy is entirely surrounded by intrigue and characters while Ransom is more focused on his club and setup. So if you had to choose one to buy, I do not base it on whether you are a puzzle addict or interact with characters more. I really enjoyed this game as much as I enjoyed Ransom. I just wish they were totally different from each other to play both of them makes me happy. Warnings was a step up in many areas as the interaction of characters, plot and scariness. This game is not very scary, but it does me curious and engaged. If you have played this game on Halloween night you would not be too scared at all (I recommend Curse of Blackmoor Manor, Legend Of The Crystal Skull or Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake if you want scary). This game is definitely one of my favorites above, perhaps my number because I just loved the scenery and characters. I fully recommend this game to all fans of mystery (even though it may appeal more to girls because it occurs at a all girls boarding school) because it is a big game adventure mystery. It is really worth the $ 20! The following case was released in 2010, Nancy Drew 22: The Trail Of Twister!
Add all these up and divide by 6. . .
5 * 's (Interface)
5 * 's (Plot)
5 * 's (Characters)
4 * 's (Set & Graphics)
5 * 's (Puzzles / activities)
4 * 's (Ending)
Stars = 28 divide by 6 (Categories) = 4. 6 = rounded to 5 Stars
