The xinwei esl teachers held a farewell party for elsa, one of the teachers. During the party they played fun games…”This is a…A what?” Mechanics: (The teacher should prepare before hand any items/ articles that he/she wanted to introduce or teach to the students.) 1. Form the group into a circle. 2. The leader/teacher should join the circle in order to serve as a model. 3. The leader should pass any articles/items one at a time by passing it to the next person on his right. 4. The flow should be on a counter-clock-wise. 5. The person passing the item should say, “THIS IS A…” while the person receiving it should say, “A WHAT?” 2 times and the person being asked “A WHAT?” should answer it according to what item he/she is holding on his right hand. 6. The person who received the said item should say “OH, A…” (name of the item you received) after asking “A WHAT?” 7. Then the passed item should be passed on to the next person until it reach to the last person. ***Watch the video for more details***

Laser tag is a fun game that is played with lasers

Laser tag is a fun game that is played with lasers. It is a team sport, and some people take the game very seriously. What started as a game that didn’t have a lot of followers has turned into something that is achieving wide spread appeal. It also doesn’t have to be a team sport. It can be played with individuals. When laser tag is treated as a team sport, the strategy is different than if it is played individually. Laser tag can be highly organized or highly chaotic, depending on how you want to play or how good you. In general, if you are on a laser tag team and you work well together and are highly organized, this increases your chances of success.

The goal of laser tag is to use your hand held laser device to score points by hitting certain targets. In that respect, laser tag in a lot of ways mimics a war time situation where people are fighting imaginary battles using the parameters of the game. It is a target oriented game and generally falls into the same category as something like paint ball. However, the rules of laser tag can change depending on how many people are playing and what the overall goals of the game are.

Sports like laser tag are highly popular because it is often fun to simulate shooting. They are also highly functional as people from all walks of life find that it helps them build their essential skills. Corporations use it to help enhance the team spirit needed to do successful projects. Other people just use laser tag as a means to go out and have fun. Either way, it is a fun and beneficial game for anyone who decides to play it.

If you want to get started playing laser tag there are a few options for you. First, you will need to decide if you want to play it solo or play it in a team. If you decide to play it solo, you can either find someone to play against or show up at a laser tag place and ask if they can set you up with an opponent. Then you will need to get the gear. You can either purchase the gear from a specialty store or online or rent it at the laser tag facility. No matter what you do, laser tag is fun.

Youth Group Game ? A Fun Game for Church, Scout, & Youth Ministry Groups

Are you a leader or pastor of a Church Group or Youth Group? Are you in charge of the Youth Ministry for your congregation? Perhaps you are a Scout Leader or Summer Camp Instructor? No matter what group or organization you are part of, are you looking for a fun, interactive game that the youth can play and enjoy? Below is one of many extremely fun group games that everyone will love. It is called “Bottom Ball” – and as the name suggests, it is not necessarily a religious game or a Christian game if you will, but it is certainly a lot of fun, and Church Groups, Scout Groups, Youth Groups – or any group – will enjoy playing this fun game!

    BOTTOM BALL

    # of Players: 4 or more

Objects Needed: Balloons, 4 chairs, Yarn

In preparation, set up the playing field by placing two chairs about 20 feet away from each. Take a long piece of string (or yarn) and tie one end to the top of one chair, and the other end of the string to the top of the other chair. The string is the net for the game, thus it needs to be tight and about 3 feet high off the ground. Now place the other two chairs perpendicular to the first two, also 20 feet apart, and also tie a string between those two chairs as well. The two strings will thus be intersecting in the air, and will form 4 different sections between the chairs. Divide everyone playing into pairs, and 4 pairs will begin the game by having one pair sitting in each of the 4 sections. Each player has to sit on their bottom, and remain on their bottom throughout the game.

At “go,” about 6 balloons will be thrown into the middle of the playing area (between the 4 chairs, into any section). Each pair is simply trying to prevent the balloons from falling into their section and hitting the ground. Players will both protect their section by preventing balloons from hitting the ground, and try to offensively hit balloons and make them land in other pair’s sections. In this game, points are not good – and a point is scored if a player’s bottom leaves the ground or a balloon lands in their section. It may be necessary to have an independent judge (perhaps for each pair) who will watch and count how many points each pair gets.

These 4 pairs will play for 3 minutes, and the pair that has the least amount of points at the end of the round (3 minutes) will receive a point. This is a good point! If there are more than 4 pairs playing, have them rotate in and replace the pairs who lost. The first pair to win 5 rounds is the winner!

Night Game ? A Fun Game for Families, Groups, or Neighborhood Kids

What ever happened to neighborhood night games? I remember when I was a kid, all the children in the neighborhood would all get together every Friday night and we would play night games for hours. I remember playing ‘Kick the Can,’ ‘Capture the Flag,’ ‘Sardines,’ ‘Hide and go Seek,’ and many other fun night games.

Below is a game that the kids in our neighborhood love to play. Although it is a night game that is not commonly know, it is extremely fun and only requires a flashlight.

    CONCEALED MOVEMENT

    # of Players: 4 or more

    Objects Needed: Flashlight

Everyone playing will be on their own team. One person will start by being it, and they will have a flashlight. It will count to 100 while the remaining players go and hide; after counting, it will go and try to find the other players who are hiding (much like Hide & Go Seek, but it has to find and shine the light on the players who are hiding). The goal of course is to be the last person found by it.

However, the twist to this fun game is that those hiding do not have to stay in one place – they can move around so long as they are not spotted by it with the flashlight. So, for example, it may walk past someone and not spot a person hiding – that person can (does not have to) then move to a different spot, and keep moving trying to avoid being found by it. If someone is spotted though, and it shines the light on them, that person is out and will go sit on the sidelines until the next round. The last person found receives 3 points. Start another round and everyone will take turns being it. The first player to score 10 points is the winner!

Children?s Game ? A Fun Game Any Kid Will Love

Every mother needs in her arsenal some quiet games for children, as well as some active games. To say the least – this is one of those extremely fun and active outdoor children’s games that all the kids will enjoy. While it is only one of many fun games for children, it is one that kids themselves say they enjoy the most. And, the best part about it – it does not cost any money, you can play it at the park or in the back yard, and the kids love it!

    CIRCLE OF MADNESS

    # of Players: 6 or more

Objects Needed: Shoe for each player

Begin by taking a shoe for each player and place them spread out in a large circle. The circle should be roughly 30 feet in diameter, and each shoe should be at least 10 feet apart from each other. The shoes signify safe bases. One person will start by being it, and they will stand in the middle of the circle of shoes (bases), and the rest of those playing will each start on a base.

The goal for the runners is to run across the circle and stand on another base without being tagged by it. The goal for it is to tag everyone twice to end the round. As the runners are running: they can not run to a base next to the base they are on; there can only be one person on a base at a time; and players can not stand on a base for more than 10 seconds (if they do, it counts as one of their two tags). The last rule for the runners is that they can run beyond the circle, but only 5 feet past the bases – if they run past the 5 feet barrier or are tagged at any time, it counts as one tag.

Players will continue to run around the bases trying to not be tagged by it. Once a player is tagged twice, they will be out for that round and sit on the sideline. The last player running around receives one point.   Then, start another round and everyone will take a turn being it – the first player to score 3 points is the winner!

Teen Game ? A Fun Game for Dates, Parties, or just Hanging-Out

We unfortunately live in a culture and society that does not provide too many wholesome and uplifting activities for our teens and youth to participate in. Is it any wonder why our teenagers are becoming more violent, idle and lazy, selfish and disrespectful, immoral and unethical, unhealthy and overweight, etc. when they are so bombarded and enticed by the never-ending influences of the media and entertainment around them?

Perhaps what is worse, it seems that our youth and teens are losing their ability to simply be creative and just have simple, wholesome fun together. While there are certainly many good games and activities out there that teenagers can do and participate in, I wanted to share just one that hundreds of teens across the nation have tried and absolutely loved. It is simple, costs no money, may seem silly at first – but it is extremely FUN! Perhaps more importantly, even if it is for just one night – it gets teens interacting together in a wholesome social way, and keeps them away from the movies and parties that usually have no positive influence on them anyway. I hope teens, youth, and people everywhere enjoy this fun game – try it for your next game night, date night, or teenage ‘hang-out’ – HAVE FUN!

    GROCERY STORE ABC GAME

    # of Players: 4 or more

    Objects Needed: Papers, Pencils

Divide those playing into pairs, and then everyone will go to your local grocery store. Each pair will start at the front of the store, with their own paper and pencil. The goal in this fun game is for each pair to find a product for every letter of the alphabet, write down a product that no other pair does, and be the first team back to the front of the store. Pairs will only receive points if they write down a product that no other team wrote down; and yet, it is still a race because the first team back to the starting position gets an extra 10 points.

The rules are that the letter has to come from the first letter of the product, and it has to be the brand name or label name. So, for example, a pair can’t use “B” if they see a banana – they would use “D” for Dole because Dole is the brand name or company/product. Also, pairs can use “S” for Snickers, but not “C” for Candy Bar. They can use “C” for Colgate, but not “T” for Toothpaste, etc. Pairs have to write down the letter, the brand name they found for that letter (only one product can be written), and the isle they found it on (to prevent cheating). Then, the first pair back to the front gets an extra 10 points. Once all pairs are back to the front of the store, everyone will compare answers, and again, pairs only receive a point if they wrote down a product/brand that nobody else had on their list. The pair with the most points wins the game! Have fun!

    Frugal Family Fun

Finding fun things for your family to do can be tough if you’re on a budget, but if you’re creative, you’ll find there’s plenty to do for just pennies. With the rising cost of, well, just about everything, it can be difficult to indulge in the kinds of entertainment you may be used to. Never fear – there are things you can do that cost very little yet offer hours of family fun. Game Night Whether it’s a board game, charades, video games, cards or a made-up game, the whole family can get in on the action with a night of games. Add some fun snacks to the mix and get ready for a night of fun. This is a great option for older kids. Movie NightHead to your local video rental store and stock up on some good family movies, then settle in with some popcorn and candy and enjoy! If you want to go all out, you can even print some “movie tickets” and dim the lights to recreate the full movie experience. (Spilling popcorn and drinks on the floor is optional!) Best of all, you can always hit pause for bathroom breaks and no one cares how loud you’re laughing. A Craft AffairDo your little ones love to paint, color, cut and glue? Have them make decorations for whichever holiday is approaching. You can also have them decorate blank note cards, so you’ll always have a stash of unique cards ready to send out. Cool CookingIf your kids are like mine, they love to help me cook and bake. Borrow a kid’s cook book from the library and pick one recipe each week to work on. Of course baking sweet treats is fun, too, so be sure to keep cake mix, frosting and sprinkles on hand to make impromptu cupcakes. On Your MarksIf you have some open space in your living room or basement, set up an obstacle course and then divide your family into teams for some friendly competition. The obstacle course doesn’t need to be elaborate, and you can use things you already have on hand such as pillows, laundry baskets and chairs. To make it even more challenging, have contestants perform some sort of feat during one leg of the course, such as carrying a plastic egg on a spoon without dropping it. Befriend BooksIf you really need to get out of the house, check out your local library. Both kids and adults love browsing the books, and some locations even offer story times and computers with Internet access and kid-friendly games. Family fun doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Try some of the ideas above or use them as starting points for creating your own brand of fun.
