Classic Game Room HD – S.T.A.L.K.E.R. CALL OF PRIPYAT for PC review
Classic Game Room HD reviews STALKER CALL OF PRIPYAT for PC from GSC Game World and Viva Media. This first person shooter style RPG adventure game is the sequel to the popular PC game STALKER Play as a soldier dropped into the zone to find out what happened to 5 crashed helicopters in the future after a fiction second meltdown at Chernobyl. The zone is filled with mutants, paranormal activities, artifacts and dirtbags packed with machine guns. Fun! Plod around through the rain and complete side missions, collect weapons and buy armor and upgrades. Fans of other time consuming RPG adventures like Fallout 3 and Borderlands may want to give this game a try. While the environment in STALKER may be huge it is very bleak and kind of bland compared to some other games, but still packs a cool feel with some action and random encounters as you wander about. This CGR review of STALKER Call of Pripyat has gameplay from STALKER Call of Pripyat on PC showing PC game play on a gaming laptop using an ATI card playing Stalker Call of Pripyat. FPS RPG adventure game with guns! UPC 838639005871

May I recommend you get a proper PC Gaming rig? You can get a system that will max out any pre-2006 game for only $600-$800 if you spend your money wisely and build it yourself.
I can tell you minimized the graphic settings on this game and you REALLY do not do it justice.

And you can’t read, again. Would you like to try another copy and paste exercise and show me what you’re referring to? “I never said the systems were much more powerful than a PC…”
Here, I’ll help you. I said:
“A system that has less powerful components than a PC…”
I get “less” and “more” confused too. Don’t be embarrassed.

lol wow, this whole conversation has been you taking what I say and making some weird interpretation of it and making your own statements sound much more appealing. That, my friend, is truly absurd. I never said the systems were much more powerful than a PC and frankly, I don’t think any statement I said supports that. Good talk thought. Work on your reasoning skills as you can’t stick with one statement.
Barbiesex 10:40 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink
I give up, you’re right. A system that has less powerful components than a PC, but has been advertised as a gaming system, and has a custom operating system that only lets you play games, is a much better and more powerful system.
Absurd.

You’re not getting the point. The Game Console’s sole purpose is gaming. For PC’s, gaming is a secondary attribute and I know you’re going to argue that but hell, it’s true. Because of games like WOW, it’s a rather important secondary attribute but it’s still in that position.

Of course PC are made for gaming. That doesn’t even make sense. They’re made for everything. Having a system that can do everything isn’t less than having a system that COULD do everything, but has had walls put up to prevent it.
And I meant to say “like console fanboys like to claim.” I’ve heard people saying nonsense like “you have to upgrade video cards every 2 months.” and “a gaming PC costs $6,000″. Pure ignorance.
Rhoadhead 11:22 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink
“My PC was not the thousands console fanboys like to claim.” Can you also explain that statement. It doesn’t make too much sense. Not saying you have bad grammar. Everyone makes mistakes online. Still, that comment is quite vague because of the way you phrased it.

Well, I guess I never said that I was a PS3 owner and I want nothing to do with the 360. In that matter, I find myself with a complete media center. As for the Xbox 360, gamers lose a lot of the freedom found on PC’s but you must remember PC’s aren’t made for gaming. However, game consoles are made for gaming. This is where the lack of some features comes from. People don’t buy their Xbox 360 for the ability to watch movies and go on the Internet.
Barbiesex 12:17 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
For what reason(s)?
And before you answer, I’ll give you an out. A lot of people that buy consoles don’t know the basics of how a computer works. My PC was not the thousands console fanboys like to claim. I play on a big screen HDTV with the press of a button, can connect a wheel, 360 controller, and use it as a media center. In the long run, it saves me a ton of money. So, the only difference between the two now, are the lack of features and freedom of a console. Retort?

Umm, I don’t think they would be better on the PC. I mean, other than the ability to mod. Hell, I would hate to play a game like Uncharted or MGS for the PC. Especially hack-and-slash games like GOW or DMC.
Barbiesex 12:45 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
Halo was a PC game that Microsoft artificially delayed to get people to buy an Xbox. Same thing happened to Alan Wake.
You picked games you think are good and act like I said there are no good console games. Again, not what I said. They would be better on PC, there can not be an argument to that, since a 360 is just a PC with less freedom. So taking that into account, there are less features and options on a console. Bar lowered. It’s a shame.

Please use your mouse wheel to scroll down and left click and drag, then control+c to copy and control+v to paste, where I said the exact words: “consoles dumb people down”.
Rhoadhead 2:25 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
I’m not even going to address the bullshit in this comment. You did say those things and what you are saying now never occurred beforehand. Significantly lowered the bar? Yeah, OK. I guess games like MGS, GTA, Halo, GOW, LBP, GOW, and Uncharted don’t count of top quality games. Left 4 Dead 2 was trash compared to MW2 in terms of innovation and to say that is quite shitty for Valve. Where are all the good PC exclusives? Only Blizzard!!! Yeah, you’re so fucking smart.
Rhoadhead 3:19 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
No, just 500k gamers on the 360, not counting the PS3 and the PC. As for the 2.4 score, are you retarded or do you just say shit that you have little knowledge of? PC gamers hated MW2, not for the gameplay, but for the lack of dedicated servers. There was a big strike of sorts over this. I do give you that Valve and Blizzard always release quality products but there are dozens of multi-platform devs that do the same and release more than one game ever five years.
Barbiesex 3:46 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
Also, I didn’t say the consoles dumbed people down. I said they have dumbed down the games and significantly lowered the bar and haulted progress. The 360 is simply a cheap PC that Microsoft has locked the user out of and takes a cut of all the games. It’s a brilliant scam.
Barbiesex 3:53 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
Is that 500k PC gamers? People on consoles don’t know any better. They didn’t lose any features and don’t even know what they’re missing. On IGN, it was rated an “incredible” 9.5. The reader score was 2.4 for PC. 360 players gave it a 9.0. Critical reviews can’t even be trusted anymore when there’s such a huge gap. People playing on PC are used to, and expect more. That’s why companies like Valve have such a huge fan base. They respect the community and don’t water things down.

OoooO, love the BioShock reference. Anyways, I didn’t know there was a difference between console gamers and PC gamers other than their preference. Maybe you just look more in-depth towards games because that’s how you think rather than because you play on the PC. Sorry, but even thinking that consoles dumb people down is ignorant and just plain stupid. As for COD, gamers might say they hate it but why are there over 500k gamers playing at any given time?
Barbiesex 5:02 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
It’s a different class of dumbed down aim-for-you junk though. Yes this is a generalization, but a lot of console players I’ve encountered are very… simple. They think that in Bioshock, there are “giant robots chasing little girls”. To miss the point so entirely tells me they buy these games to hear gunshots and let their eyes glaze over. This has been confirmed simply by asking them.
Also, COD got awful reviews by gamers for that reason. They’re just hurting themselves.
Rhoadhead 5:44 pm on March 8, 2010 Permalink
The first part is somewhat true. I believe Gearbox Software released their DLC for the console before they did for the PC. As for the second part, think about the biggest shooters these days. Halo? Console Exclusive. Modern Warfare? PC version’s online was modeled after the console version. No more dedicated servers. Hell, even id Software’s said they won’t have dedicated servers in their next title, Rage. Right now, the only game meant for PC’s are really MMORPG’s.

The narrator should just stop. He has the most dull monotone voice I’ve heard in a while.
Horrible reviewer too.
Also, why are they playing the game on the easiest mode ever? losers.
