There’re extremly small details in 0:56 – we can see there some birds. They’re giving a hipotesis that Martians had some animals, not only vegetation.

Theres 2 discks. The red one is the martian mode. The blue is the human mode…if I remember correctly.
I remember this game! I bought it waay back in like 2000. Its very rare to get these days. I am fortunate to have a copy of it. I think e bay is your best bet…even then its unlikely. It was never a huge success and I think only a few thousand were produced.

H.G. Wells put vegetarian overtones when it came to the whole blood thing. And it’s explained that the Martians have few organs and they don’t eat or sleep. They ‘inject” the blood of living creatures to serva as nutrients in their bodies. In the book it’s also hinted they harvest a second type of Martian as cattle, maybe it was the thing in the gas chamber?

Yes you are right about that, but remember the story of War of the Worlds was made 111 years ago, and using a giant cannon was the way people thought of space travel back then. And it is a War of the Worlds game, so they used that way of thinking i guess. I think you could have summed that up by saying, Warcraft is a story that creates a world. Warhammer is a world that creates stories.
… I like warcraft lore etc… but you do know that it origins spring from warhammer… As blizzard actually wanted to make a warhammer rts back in the day but couldnt get the rights… so they made warcraft. Warhammers history runs way deeper then warcraft although warcraft has evolved alot in story over the years… Imo every1 shud just stop bitching and enjoy them both.
yeah i see, well, i guess their both rather unique, and both have hteir stereo types, but the warcraft story has a lot of smaller stories, and other parts that made it what it is, and they all peice together well, but i could never rally follow any events from warhammer together, the books were so scattered it made no real sense
You said ALL fantasy stereo types, which is more true for Warcraft than Warhammer. Warcraft’s main races being Orcs, Humans, Blond magicy elves, Foresty elves, Dwarfs, Centaurs.. well ok, their trolls are pretty inventive, and the Erredar too I suppose. But they stole their Goblin design straight from Warhammer, so in that regard they’re about even.
Warhammer’s story is not meant to piece together. Like in the real world, lots of things happen all over the world instead of a main story.

The Atari has a better sound system than the PC, the Windows version dissapoints in more ways than one, the graphics might be smoother but the sound sucks ! And I think the Atari and Amiga cut it close in the sound department they both have there pros and cons.
