Do you ever play on your laptop at work? Maybe pop in one of the latest PC games and go to town for an hour? Ah ha, I caught you. Now get back to work! Okay, I’m joking of course. I like to browse the isles of Best Buy for PS2 and the latest PC games. Those electronic superstores have it all. Where do you prefer to play your favorite video games? These days we often have the choice of playing on our PCs or video game consoles. It’s kind of a preference thing. Although there are different games for both machines, you can surely find some you like on either.
One thing I like about dabbling in the latest PC games is the access. I always have my laptop at hand. As far as a PS2 or Xbox, those are typically with my home entertainment center; and I’m not lugging that TV around. I can recall back in the day when Doom was the big PC game. I loved that one. You basically creep around through all these dark tunnels and monster infested realms in search of creatures to destroy. For some bizarre reason that never got old. Unfortunately my older brother got sick of me sitting at his computer, and kicked me out. I noticed recently that they even made Doom into a film. Now, you know this must have been a great game.
Are you searching high and low for the latest PC games to entertain you? Well, look no further than your local Best Buy store. I’m sure they will have plenty to tickle your fancy. If by some chance they are lacking a particular game, you can easily hop online and find a variety of websites that sell the latest PC games at great prices. This is also a cool place to look for tips and codes. I tell you, the Internet has it all. Now days you don’t even have to struggle with the game on your own. Pop open Google and do a search for tips and pointers regarding a specific game. This is one way to dominate the latest PC games.

With the help of the experience gained, your character becomes stronger and stronger, able to fight stronger monsters and enemies, and ultimately defeats evil, which is also the purpose of the game.
A relatively recent development of RPGs is the MMORPG (massive multiplayer online RPG), in which thousands of people fight online in a usually immense world in which you can do anything you want: fight monsters, complete quests, fight other players, and of course gain experience all throughout. Although it has not been the first game of this genre, the most acclaimed game of this type is World of Warcraft which has an impressive community worldwide.

As for the Xbox 360, gamers lose a lot of the freedom found on PC’s but you must remember PC’s aren’t made for gaming. However, game consoles are made for gaming. The reader score was 2.4 for PC. 360 players gave it a 9.0. Critical reviews can’t even be trusted anymore when there’s such a huge gap. People playing on PC are used to, and expect more. That’s why companies like Valve have such a huge fan base. They respect the community and don’t water things down.

It’s a different class of dumbed down aim-for-you junk though. Yes this is a generalization, but a lot of console players I’ve encountered are very… simple. They think that in Bioshock, there are “giant robots chasing little girls”. To miss the point so entirely tells me they buy these games to hear gunshots and let their eyes glaze over. The first part is somewhat true. I believe Gearbox Software released their DLC for the console before they did for the PC. As for the second part, think about the biggest shooters these days. Halo? Console Exclusive. Modern Warfare? PC version’s online was modeled after the console version. No more dedicated servers. Hell, even id Software’s said they won’t have dedicated servers in their next title, Rage. Right now, the only game meant for PC’s are really MMORPG’s.
